Legends are coming to Quidd!
July and August were big months for Quidd. We had drops on drops on drops! From the Satoshiverse to the Pixelverse, we went all around the globe to bring you the freshest IP for your collection. Let’s take a peek at what dropped.
Dark Crystal: The Journey Begins: Late July marked our first drops for Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal. And it was glorious! The real fans came out in spades and earned themselves some crystals! Plus, 10 lucky winners won an even split of $20,000 in Quidd store credit. The winners included Medinaahh, JEFFREYBROWN, FlashBazbo, msdeelaw, vennde22, VoyM, betweenworlds, WertyOrig, Streamah, and countfeed. Congrats to our winners! Just goes to show: Anyone can win as long as they join in on the chase.
Valiant: The Valiant Universe geared up for its third season on Quidd. It pretty much went the same way the last two seasons went: Awesome! We released never-before-seen collectibles for War-Monger, Shadowman, and more. Of course, it’s tough to capture over 30 years of history in a few drops. So, keep your eyes peeled for the next Valiant season!
Legendary Street Artist Szabotage has made a big splash in the NFT market! Szabotage is the first Hong Kong street artist to mint NFTs and Quidd is proud to help him continue his journey. His iconic use of stencil imagery and verbal language hit the Quidd Marketplace with a bang. We can’t wait to announce our next collab with Szabotage, so stay tuned!
Satoshiverse - Heroes of Apemo Army: The Satoshiverse made its debut on Quidd with Captain Apemo and his team of half-man, half-animal superheroes. Legendary Marvel and DC comic artist, Jose Delbo, and Apollo Entertainment came together to create a comic NFT for the ages. And it killed! Sold out in 15 mins!!!
Nyaching Horoscopes went full Zodiac with Quidd’s second Nyaching collection. The collection was divided up into four sets: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. We know all you collectors couldn’t wait for more Nyaching. Which is why we’re not surprised how fast they all went. You can expect another drop soon, so keep your ear to the ground.
It Rained Cat Nerds and Dog Nerds! The last time we saw Todd Goldman, our collab sold better than anyone could’ve guessed. This time was no different. Todd’s Pet Pandemonium was full of BowWows and Meows. We’re happy to see how many people bought in, and we hope you’re back for Todd’s next drop!
Some other fan favorites that dropped were, Neopets Hologram Collection, Quidd Galleries: Roman Myths and Mortals, Into the Pixelverse, Cheeses of the World, Summer at the Cinema, Musashi, Robotic Ninja Cat Chief!
Star Trek Trexels Trading Event was a huge success! Star Trek is huge every month, but July gave fans a chance to earn big for being a fan. Anyone who bought, sold, or traded Star Trek Trexels items on Quidd from July 5th to the 11th earned $QUIDD. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Nyaching “Year of the Tiger” officially became open for minting in July. That’s right, as of July 14th, “Year of the Tiger” Nyaching owners can now mint their items onto the blockchain. If you haven’t done it already, join the other lucky NFT owners in the metaverse!
Welcome, Zach! One of our bigger announcements in August was a new addition to the Quidd family. Ex-Uber exec Zach Walsh joins Quidd as the new Head of Product to bring his skillset to the Quidd community. With his extensive experience in the tech industry, we just know that he’ll be a perfect fit here at Quidd. So let’s give him a warm Quidd welcome (or as warm as a digital welcome can be).
2FA and My Account: In August, we made big leaps to improve your experience with Quidd. For instance, our new Two-Factor Authentication and My Account features allow for more protection and customization for your Quidd account. With Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you’ll be able to add an extra layer of protection to your collection and personal information. You have options from SMS text, voice calls, and the authentication app. Of course, this feature isn’t mandatory for existing users. 2FA is optional for existing customers on the web, mandatory for all new customers signing up on the web, and mandatory for new users signing up in the apps (by end of September). We can’t wait to hear your feedback so we can improve this process.
The My Account feature has been a long time coming. Think of it as your command center for everything Quidd. It’ll be another hub to find all the important details like:
Username
Legal name
Date of birth
Connection to self-custody wallets and on-chain addresses
Password
Ability to delete the account
In the future, we intend to add more capabilities, like managing your notification settings, payments, tokens, tax forms, and more. But for now, you’ll have direct access and power to make necessary changes to your account.
Customer Success: And that’s not all August brought us. Quidd also moved our customer support team in-house. We’re talking about a massive overhaul, starting from the ground up. We want our customers to know who is handling their questions and concerns. Our new support operators, Quidd-Zane and Quidd-Nejc, are here to help you close your support tickets across all platforms. You can also ask our support team your questions over on Twitter at @QuiddSupport.
The Last Word
Hard to believe we’re already halfway into 2022. But with your support, we have been able to make every month significant for you. July was full of big names and we want to give them a good home here at Quidd. And with our awesome community of collectors, we can do just that. 2022 has been amazing so far, and here’s to an even better second half. Collect on, Quidders!... nope, that doesn’t sound right. We’ll workshop that.
